SAP launched an agribusiness-focused startup accelerator program at
SAP.iO Foundry Paris. Out of 900 applications, 8 international companies were selected by a jury of SAP experts, partners, customers and investment funds to join the program.
“Digital technology and collaboration are key enablers to feed the rapidly growing world population in a sustainable way,” said
Anja Strothkaemper, SAP vice president of Agribusiness and Commodity Management. “Working together with startups, we can combine our innovation power and serve the evolving needs of our agribusiness customers.”
In only 10 weeks, thanks to mentorship from SAP executives, exposure to SAP technology and application programming interfaces (APIs), Connecting Food was able to identify new opportunities to bring increased value to agri-food professionals.
“Through our collaboration with SAP, we have identified 2 integrations, which are currently under development” explained
Samantha Gadenne, Global Sales Director at
Connecting Food. “The first one has to do with LiveAudit®, our digital auditing module, and its direct integration with SAP’s LBN MT, and the second one is a sneak peek into the future of the food supply chain: the digital twin.”
